Our ethos is to use as much local produce as possible, to prevent "food miles" and to support local jobs. We are very proud to still be using stone ground, unbleached local non-GMO flour from Eureka Mills (there is no need to use imported flour) and many local suppliers of cheese and meat, made in South Africa in the traditional Italian style.
Our fish is sourced using SASSI principles (South African Sustainable Seafood Initiative).
We also use recycled and biodegradable straws, doggy bag products, and most of our packaging waste is recycled and/or composted. We are always striving to further reduce our impact on the environment.
We even filter and bottle our own water using an imported Vivreau system, saving thousands of plastic bottles going to landfills
